Caterina Hadjilias (née Eliopoulos) was born in Athens.
She studied painting at the National School of Fine Arts, in Athens.
In 1977 she moved to London. From 1980 to 1992 she attended experimental painting classes at the Camden Arts Centre, NW3.
From there originated the "Hampstead Studio Group", who under the guidance of the late Krystyna Shackleton Dzieszko, continued to paint and exhibit together until 2001.
Since 2001 Caterina has been working on her own drawing her main influences from her Yoga studies, dance, the body and movement and her travels to the East.
